Welcome to the 2026–27 School Year

Use this checklist for the parent setup steps that help you support your student after enrollment.

Open the 2026–27 Welcome Letter

Parent To-Do List

1. Create or update your parent PowerSchool account. Use the access code and password in the Welcome Letter. After signing in, open Forms and complete all required parent permissions and emergency forms. You can also open the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
2. Set up BrightChat. Watch for the introductory text message from MySchool@Kent. Download the BrightChat app, follow the setup instructions, and turn on notifications.
3. Set up Family Sensei. Look for an invitation email from noreply-elf@edmentum.com. Select the registration link, create a password, and sign in at Edmentum Family Sensei. Family Sensei is free and lets families view assignments, progress, grades, pacing, recent access, and time spent in Edmentum.

If the Family Sensei invitation does not arrive: Check the spam or junk folder and add noreply-elf@edmentum.com to your contacts or safe-senders list.
